"Torn to Pieces" his very first single Coming Soon on CD and iTunes!Posted: November 11th, 2009 Just so everyone knows!
All my videos are TDK Inkjet Printable DVD-R. They cost about $1.55 for each blank disc then $1.00 for ink. The DVD cases are $1.00 each and the DVD Case Labels are matt photo paper $0.32 each and the ink is about $1.50 = $5.37 + taxes GST PST $0.75 = $6.12 It takes about 45 minutes to make each DVD copy, print out the label cut, it to size, place it in the DVD case, I burn the DVD-R on my Mac G5 that takes most of the time, about 30mins. Then I print the label right on the disc with my Canon Inkjet Disc printer, model ip 4300. I pack each DVD in a bubble wrap enveloped $1.14 then it's off to the post office to ship them out. It costs between $3. to $7. for post to any where in Canada and the USA depending on where it's going. If people use Pay Pal I lose some money to the service fees, $1.03. and on international money orders it cost me $5. each for the bank fees to cash them. So out of the $25. I charge for the DVD we get between – 26% income tax = $18.50 – above costs = (worst case is) negative - 0.76 and (best case is) $7.96 That’s not including a percentage of heat and hydro, rent ect. Also this website costs $150 a year. So then I take the best case profit $7.96 and place it on the production loan witch has a 18.9 % interest rate. In the case of Echo Beach that’s about $309 a month for interest charges so any one can see why it is important to sell and sell fast. So if you are thinking about buying a copy of my films please do so quickly. They are not availible in stores. Only from my website. I’m in way over my income bracket. 100% of all the money I make outside of my film productions (general construction labourer, some land surveying and drafting) goes into paying off the bank loans for the productions I produce. I require everyone’s help to bring the costs back under control. You know I’m going to break my golden rule and start excepting cash donations. I'm an artist not a busness guy. Doritos Contest News!We would like to say a great big thank you to everyone that voted for our entry in the Doritos Ad Contest. Voting is now over for round one and we had a very respectful entry. We were in the top 36 Highest Rated for most of the week and we were in the top 12 for a few hours. It’s hard to say were we landed at the end because it kind of looks like the gallery is picking videos at random. At the moment we are on page 28 so top 336 for Highest Rated (#334), Page 25 of Most Comments (top #308) and page 16 of most viewed (#188). Again videos seam to move around so that may not be very accurate. Posted March 19, 2009 Hey check out our Doritos contest video! Please hop over to the http://doritosguru.ca/sterling/Doritos%20Attack%20Ad web site and vote for our entry! Okay I just checked something. You have to sign up if you don't have an account with them. That's a real drag but I guess it's the only way they know that there is only oone vote perday. So if you have a secound email address that is used for junk, that would be the one to use. Also never give out your real birthday over the internet. Always use something close, but way off. And that's just my two cents. You Can't Do That On YouTube! You Can't Do That On YouTube is now an official part of the You Can't Do That On Television histroy.
