The star of Emmett, Actor Matthew Rappolt has a band called the Unbreakable Clocks and they were in the studio this weekend recording some demo's of their music and some covers. We are going to use some of their oridgenal songs in the Echo Beach film production.

Our video camera is in for repairs. It's a 3 chip camera and the blue chip is not working so it could cost a large sum of money to fix. At this point I'm not sure when we will be able to start production this year. FlipNews is on hold while the camera is out for repair.
Meanwhile we are planning our productions for 2008. We are looking for any one interested in backing our new productions through advertising our cash support.
Also our email exsention @sterlingproductions.ca has been highjacked by email spamers again so our email address will be blocked by allot of spam ware programs so our emails may not be reaching every one. We had an amazing time filming the first episode of FlipNews hosted by Ryan Berkun today. I will be editing it over the next few days and we hope to post the very first episode on YouTube November 9 2007 on the SterlingCanada channel and the new FlipNewsChannel.

The sweet sound of music! We finaly have the recording studio bugs out and we are laying down some music tracks. Also I'm still editing Echo Beach and Death by Design. I only have about 1,900 hours of edting to go so hopefully I will have the production finished in late November. In the mean time we do need to make some money to keep the doors open so if any one has some ideas please email me : The bank Would Like Their Money Back!

Dylan from Dylan’s Couch was on location with the Echo Beach production yesterday. They drove all the way up to Canada from New York for one day of filming. We would like to give him and his family for a great day of filming and a supper big thank you for being a part of the production.

Hi everyone. I'm going to be making some changes to the Chest Work Production filming schedule. We just have too many things happening at the same time and the weather is not co-oprating. We neeed leaves on the trees. The first 4 weekends are not going to change but the rest is.

It is most unacceptable that my email address has been high jacked by someone who is using it to send out spam mail. This is causing web hosts to block the in and out going email as spam. I spent a lot of money and time establishing my web site and email address and I am devastated by the destruction that this person has caused. I going to open a hotmail account for anyone that has their email returned.

We are creating a proposal to host the Childrens Interantional Film Festival via youtube users. The plan is to show some funny videos from youtube and we have two very funny kids that are making video bid to host the 10 day festival. Welcome aboard guys! There is nothing new really. I'm just out promoting our films and trying to make sales so we can make an other production. I started rewriting the RR1 Alma production in hopes to start filming on it but it looks like it's not going to be ready. with any luck we will be able to save the production year by making something.
So it's been slow and kind of a bad year but things are looking good for next year.

Sterling Johnston has asked Cameron Menzies and Lyndsay Tegeler to write a film script for a production that could be filmed this fall. The production will star Evan Green, (possibley) Ryan Berkun and Nicholas. We will keep you updated on the new production asap.

The Chest Work production has a new start date of June 2007. The film is casted and hopefully all of the cast members will be able to make the new scheudle in 2007. We will be updayting the production schedule page in early Steptember.

Over the past few weeks the Chest Work production has not come together as planned. Do to production and post production scheduling conflicts as well as unforseen financial constraints we need to push the start date a few months or it may be held over to next summer.
I have a few ideas on a new approach. Please give me some time to see what I can work out. One plan is to take the production package to Atlantis Alliance to see if they want to distribute it.

Things are moving forward on the Chest Work Production. We have a dream cast. I am working on the studio space to get it ready to build the sets. We don't have a camera yet, but I am hopefull. Please keep checking the production expainded schedule for new updates. Please let me know asap if there is a scheduling problem. We are moving our party scene agian to a new later date in August.

The Ed Video party was held on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun. Sterling took the outdoor cinema out and set it up to screen 30 or so peices of video art for the members. He also screened a 10 min video he put together for the party. A great big Thank you goes out to all the staff and members that helped out.

We are looking for an orginal screenplay for a film starring Evan Green. (Teen Action Drama age 14 to 16). Willing to pay Cash! Please do not send your script with out contacting us first. We would like to send out a big warm welcome to Toronto Novelist, Ms. Amanda McLachlan Darling. Ms. Darling is currently working on an original screen play (title to be announced) that will be produced by Sterling Productions late this summer. The final draft of the script will be ready for July 1st and production is scheduled to start August 1, 2006 and will end October 31, 2006. The premiere should happen in late November or January 2007. We will keep you posted.

The Drive-in horror film starring Evan Green and Edwin Dorety has a green light. We are doing some rewrites and the script will be ready for the second week of February. Open auditions for the remaining 40 plus cast will happen after that. Filming to will start the first week of May and run for 6 weeks. We will keep you posted on any changes.

Yes it's hard to believe but we have been making films for twenty years. We are going to have our big anniversary party in July. We would like to hear from all of our cast and crew from years gone by. The big party will be held at our outdoor theatre (date to be annouced). The Gone Tubing Priemere was a great succes! Last evening more than 70 people turned out to support the cast and crew. They laughed, they cried, they really enjoyed themsevles.
I believe we have a block buster on our hands.
Sterling Productions will be entering the Gone Tubing production in future film festivals around the world. Lets cross our fingers for a distrbution deal!!!

We are planing to film April 10th 2005 at the Elora Centre for the Arts. We are filming the classroom scenes. We will need all the kids playing Shawn's classmates.
We are planning to film all the scout hall scenes on Saturday April 9th 2005 at the Alma Community hall. We need some more extras for these scenes. Please call if you have a friend that would like to be included.

We Have a float in the Elora Christmas Parade this Friday Nov 26, at 6:30 pm.
Our casting is coming along nicely. We are still in need of a few more actors so, we still have an open call for boys and girls 8 to 12 for the RR1 Alma production. Please phone or e-mail for a meeting.
We are also in need of extras, boys 8 to 14 (about 100) for the scout
camp out weekend scenes in June 2005 and our scout meetings, a cub car
rally Feburay 2005.
We also need to find an old car like a 1976 Toyota, Honda or Datsen compac car ASAP. I'm hoping to use it in the next two weeks.
We had a great turn out for our first set of auditions for RR1 Alma and
we didn't have a chance to talk with every one so this Friday starting
at 4:30 pm we are going to have the second round.
We are going to change the way we did last weeks auditions and we are
going to have appointments every half hour.
Auditions are at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

We had a very successful screening of the Film making 101 Project at the Gorge Cinema on Sunday. Around 160 people turned out to meet the cast and crew. The two shorts films "In Your Dreams Baby" and "Cellar Door" were very well recived by the people in attendance. Ed Video and The Elora Arts Centre are hoping to do it all again next year.
Screening in Alma @ the Alma Community Hall sponcerd by the Alma Optimist Club Saturday October 2. Swim Zack Swim @ 6:30 pm, Emmett @ 7 pm and Clear Cut @ 8 pm. See you at the show.
Well we did it. Emmett is finished and the screening was a big hit. We had 142 poeple turn out for the premiere on a night when we had some very heavy competition from other events. We are planing more screenings in the coming months so please check back often for times and dates.

Sterling Productions helped the Elora BIA launch their new web site
on Monday at the Elora Gorge Cinema. It was a great advent with a short
video celebration of the county's 150 th anniversary (video projection
by Sterling Johnston) and Al Koop & troop of his historic performs
wrote and performed a short play about the history of Elora in just

We have cast the Emmett production. I would like to thank every one who auditioned for the part of Emmett. We had a very tough dession to make. Every one put forth an amazing performance. We would also like to say many, many thanks the Fergus Elora News Express for thier coverage of our talent search. They played a very large role in finding such great local talent.
We have an opening for actress mid thirties to play Ben's Mother, a local farmer and house wife. She finds it very hard to keep track of her 13 year old son that is all ways runing off to his friends house with out doing his chores. The role requires a eight hour commitment spread over two afternoon shooting days.
Emmett Production Update! On April 18th we are planning to screen test the new actors. We will use some of the footage for the "Emmett" preview add to be shown before "Swim Zack Swim" on the 24th of April.
The premier of "Emmett" will be on Sept 10th at the Grand Theatre in Fergus. There is a 7 pm & 9pm show. Advanced tickets only, $10.00. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or contact a cast or crew member.
Congratulations to Debbie Deckert! She won an award, "Outstanding performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role". The play "Daning at Lughnasa" was part of the Western Ontario Drama League Festival in Woodstck.

The Nancy Richards "the Beat" interview aired January 22 on the 6 pm news. Thank you Nancy Richards, the report looked great! "Top shelf!" Our interveiw with CKCO TV went very well today. Evan Phillips, John Bigelow and Sterling Johnston were the only ones able to make it to the station on such short notice.
