Workshop Introduction!

Our Youth Video Production Workshop is a fun, interactive opportunity to tap into the creative minds of the young participants by placing them in front of the camera. Building confidence in acting for the camera, this hands-on workshop will teach the skills necessary for youth to create new opportunities for public speaking and acting careers. The workshop concludes with a video posting on YouTube channel YCDTOYT for family and friends that showcases their hard work. Please join us for this exciting opportunity!

Workshop Outline!

Work with Child Actor Nicholas Manolakos

The video workshop is for children 7 to 14 years of age that want to learn how to act for the camera in a comedy setting.

The Children's work will be posted on YCDTOYT a YouTube channel.

Workshop Episodes #1 to #10 Complete.

The January workshop Episode #11 Complete.

12:30 pm to 4:30 pm afternoons.

Costs $20.00 per day. A pay pre use formula.

Sign up for 6 days and save money $20.

The frist workshop day is a free Trial Day.

Your child may attend on a day to day bases. However there is a wiating list so you should book in advance the days you wish to be on the set.

Registration is always running. Placement is limited to 10 on any given day so book quickly.

Parents are encouraged to visit the set and they may appoint a guardian.

The Staff!

Sheila Marie, Assistant Director.

Sterling Johnston is the producer, director of the program and he will share his 22 years of production experience and knowledge.

Acting coach: Edwin Mason or Caitlin Alexander.

Location!

The workshop is at our studio in Alma. We are hoping to move our studio to Kitchener in January 2009. If you happen to know of a rental space (2,000 square feet) please feel free to email us.

Payment Information:

The full workshop fee is due on the day. If the workshop is cancelled, a full refund will be issued immediately.

Letter of Permition Required

For YouTube internet posting purposes, each participant will need a release form signed by parent or guardian. Students will not be able to participate in the workshop without a signed Permition from.

Waiver Required for insurance purposes, each participant will need a release form signed by parent or guardian. Students will not be able to participate in the workshop without a signed waiver.

Congratulations everyone, season one is drawing to a close. We only have one more day of filming on episode 10.

September 5, 2008 : Quinn, Zoe and Aidan made the CTV news for a featured human interest story on "Getting ready to go back to school."

Please Note: All actors 14 and under must have a parent or parent appointed guardian on set at all times and we follow the rules outlined by ACTRA Article A28. What most parents do is take turns volunteering to be on set. You stay this Saturday, I'll stay that Saturday.
